Mind-Body and Inner-Self who are we?
Mind-Body and Inner-Self was founded as a prevention program and consulting firm in 2008 to serve the needs of veterans and their families, and community based organizations in New York City. Our office is located in the diverse renaissance community of Cararsie area of Brooklyn, New York within Community District 18. Mind-Body and Inner-Self is bordered by Fresh Creek Basin, East New York and convenient to Brownsville and East Flatbush. Mind-Body and Inner-Self provides excellent services to the public by offering hands-on care to the underprivileged and undocumented that will promote its mission to serve the disadvantaged. Mind-Body and Inner-Self operates seven days weekly and offers services extending past the traditional hours of 9 AM- 5 PM.

Board Members and employees of Mind-Body and Inner-Self have extensive experience providing supportive and social services to individuals who are substance abusers, homeless, medically and psychiatrically challenged, diagnosed as HIV positive, veterans, local residents. We also service community based organizations throughout New York City and its surrounding areas. Accordingly, Mind-Body and Inner-Self is familiar with the demographics, characteristics, and needs of the numerous populations that are not listed and we are knowledgeable about services required to assist and empower consumers into becoming independent and self-sufficient individuals and organizations who are capable of maintaining themselves in their respective communities.
As an initiative of Mind-Body and Inner-Self, Novel Foundations has a core group of five members working within several states and districts in the United States. Collectively they contain over 25 years of experience working within the public, private, social service, and healthcare industries.

Mind-Body and Inner-Self services but is not limited to:>
Through the our member’s efforts incorporating diverse individual skills and expertise (one worker –one clinical, two business administrators, a nurse- specializing in diseases, community and addictive disorders, a finance business manager and developer-specializing in social service and community based institutions, and an industrial/ organizational psychologist-specializing in sociology, addictions, mental health disorders) under the spirit of volunteerism a sense of commitment and successful interfaith work has and will continue to reduce individual and community negative outcomes that directly affect individual and organizational growth and development.
Mind-Body and Inner-Self offers organizational trainings in staff development to manage:
- HIV pre and post test counseling, testing and partner notification
- Intervention in and prevention of substance abuse
- Mental health care referrals and monitoring
- Nutrition and Well Care
- Health care referrals and monitoring
- Activities of daily living management
- Welfare and legal advocacy
- Job readiness counseling and search assistance
- Enrollment on job training programs
- Enrollment in educational programs
- Assisting in obtaining child care
- Parenting education
- Household management
- Money management
- Ongoing support in response to special needs

At the present time, Mind-Body and Inner-Self is working with individuals out of Kew Garden’s Center for Wellness’s location in Queens, New York. Mind-Body and Inner-Self operates and manages all of our contracts, and provides social services to the client’s and their families in their residence.
